The 2016 Domaine Joseph Roty Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru is a distinguished Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy’s most esteemed producers. Crafted by the Roty family, whose winemaking lineage dates back to 1710, this wine exemplifies the depth and complexity of the Mazis-Chambertin vineyard in the Côte de Nuits. Mazis-Chambertin is one of the northernmost Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, situated above the Route des Grands Crus in Gevrey-Chambertin.

Domaine Joseph Roty is a family-owned estate with a winemaking tradition spanning over 300 years. Now managed by Philippe Roty, the domaine produces wines from 17 acres of vineyards, including Grand Cru sites like Mazis-Chambertin and Charmes-Chambertin. Known for their full-bodied, exuberantly fruity wines, the estate employs traditional Burgundy winemaking methods, including aging in new oak barrels and bottling without fining or filtration.
