ABOUT THIS WINE
Le Clos is a gently sloping single parcel that faces east. It is located between the house of Domaine Ferret and the village church. This parcel, the smallest among those that produce the TĂȘtes de Cru and Hors Classe cuvĂ©es, covers 0.69 hectares right next to the domaine's buildings.
Half the vines just reach 35 years old, while the rest just turn their 50th birthday.
Fermentations and aging take place in casks of which 25% of cask new, 75% of cask from 1 to 3 wines for 10 months. Then the aging ends in stainless steel tank always with all their lees for another 7 months. Bottling took place on February 2, 2021, on a descending moon, root day.

Located in the heart of the Maconnais, Domaine Ferret has been exploring the richness of Pouilly-Fuissé's terroirs since 1840. The history of the property has been intertwined with that of a series of strong women who have helped raise the profile of the great Chardonnay-based wines of Southern Burgundy in France and overseas.
Domaine Ferret owes its current form to Jeanne Ferret, who had the courage to put her own wines in bottle. Above all else, she pioneered the practice of vinifying wines based on a classification of parcels that she devised and which is still the hallmark of the 'TĂȘte de Cru' and 'Hors Classe' cuvĂ©es. Her daughter, Colette, and then, from 2008 onwards, Audrey Braccini, have continued to link the domaine's identity with the characteristic elegance of its wines.
